Tanya is based in Jersey, Channel Islands, and serves as Chief Compliance Officer for the Group. She is responsible for establishing and promoting standards and policies to help ensure legal, ethical and proper conduct and for monitoring compliance with these standards and policies.  A significant focus for Tanya and her team is the provision and maintenance of an effective compliance governance architecture, commensurate with the regulatory obligations facing Vistra internationally and in its local jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Group Compliance in 2017, Tanya led the team responsible for legal, risk and compliance in Vistra Jersey’s trust company and fund services operations for 15 years.  Her personal regulatory approvals have included the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Jersey Financial Services Commission, l'Association Romande des Intermédiaires Financiers and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.

Before locating to Jersey and joining Vistra, Tanya was a Legal Consultant with an international private bank in South Africa. She is a qualified English Solicitor (practising) and South African Attorney (non-practising), and holds both English and Jersey Notarial Faculties. Her professional memberships include the Law Society of England and Wales and the Jersey Compliance Officers’ Association.
