Maria joined Vistra Luxembourg in 2011 as a Relationship Manager in the Europe & Middle East Team, servicing large multinational corporations and private equity clients. Maria assisted in setting up the Vistra global Russia & CIS desk and has established close business relationships in the UK, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg with intermediaries, bankers and advisors specialising in the market. 

In September 2013, she joined Vistra UK in order to set up a Russia & CIS Desk, where she was the Head of Business Development, and managed a portfolio of key UHNW clients. In January 2018 she moved to Stockholm to become the Commercial Director for the Nordic Region. 

Maria started her career in the Luxembourg financial sector in 2006, where she worked at Nomura Bank before joining the legal department of another global trust - and corporate service provider.

Maria obtained a law degree from Queen Mary University of London and she pursued her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law, Moorgate London. 

Being born in Odessa Ukraine, to a Russian mother and Tanzanian father while brought up in the Nordics, Maria speaks fluent English, Russian, Swedish and Finnish.
