Leon was appointed Head of Company Formations, North Asia in December 2019, and also has operational oversight for the Taiwan business. Leon was initially appointed in August 2019 as the Head of Technical and Regulatory Services, Corporate and Private Clients, Asia-Pacific and the Middle-East.

Leon has extensive experience in the corporate services and offshore legal profession. Prior to joining Vistra, Leon was the Head of Private Clients at TMF and has held a number of Partner and Counsel roles at leading law firms, including Appleby and Harneys. He has over 28 years of legal, fiduciary and management experience in providing offshore, private client/family office, and company law solutions to clients. Having been based in Greater China for the entirety of his career, he has extensive knowledge of the region.

He holds undergraduate degrees in international politics and law and a master's degree in foreign investment law. In regard to onshore jurisdictions, Leon is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales, and Australia, and in offshore jurisdictions, he has legal admission and/or extensive practical experience in the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, and Bermuda.
