Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain various analyses and reporting tools
  • Work directly with appropriate operational personnel to understand required report concepts and objectives
  • Perform detail analysis on financial and operational trends across all group segments and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the business
  • Analyse business activities and trends and compares analyses against the budget, relevant forecasts, business KPl, prior years, and industry metrics where available
  • Present findings and prepares routine reports (financial trends, operational efficiency, market share and etc.)
  • Key member of annual budgeting cycle in setting guidelines, driving process improvement including template setting and system design
  • Maintain group P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecast model on a quarterly  basis
  • Finance Business Partner to C - Suite in maintaining monthly report and budget preparation
  • From time to time work with IT to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve reporting processes and develops effective reporting tools for users
  • Assist in financial modelling to evaluate potential investment opportunities
  • Lead and mentor  junior/s in the team and assist in fostering a team orientated environment  
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications and other requirements

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience within the Finance field in a commercial role
  • Demonstrated experience working within a dynamic environment of change, or through M&A
  • MNC or regional experience in an analyst/ business partnering capacity is highly preferred
  • Prior audit and/or system implementation experience is highly advantageous
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
  • Qualified accountant with membership of CPA/ ACCA preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management skills coupled with excellent communication skills  to deal with people of various backgrounds/ working styles
  • Client orientated with an assertive mind-set to solve problems /issues for the business
  • Multitasking with positive "can do" attitude
  • Ability to work independently and think out of the box
  • Ability to gather clear business requirements and defines approaches to address user's needs
  • Excellent business writing skill for internal parties, especially to explain the details of the account (Senior Management, e.g. CEO)
  • Highly analytical and can operate in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office application with advanced Excel skill is mandatory
  • Proficiency in HFM (Hyperion), Smart View report building is highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of SAP and ViewPoint is advantageous
  • Professional fluency in both written and oral English and Cantonese
  • Conversational Mandarin skill  is advantageous
