Vistra 2020: The Uncertainty Principle was featured in a recent article published in International Investment. The article provided highlights and the key findings of the report.
In the article, Jonathon Clifton, Group Managing Director of the Company Formation division at Vistra Hong Kong, outlines the impact of regulations and initiatives aimed at increasing transparency that are sweeping across the industry.
Jonathon pointed out that dozens of countries will soon have to follow the Common Reporting Standard, with several other regulatory changes already putting downward pressure on the industry. He believes the intent to create complete transparency in the industry will lead to an erosion of privacy, and put forth the thought whether privacy and transparency can in fact co-exist.
