As Director of the LatAm Team, Maria Laura is responsible for the management of structures of clients from different jurisdictions.

Before joining Vistra in 2013, Maria Laura worked for four years as Relationship Manager of a trust company in Barcelona, where she was responsible for the implementation of international corporate structures and the management of a portfolio of clients.

Previously, she worked as a corporate lawyer in the tax department of a Big Four firm where she focused on tax planning and advisory services, tax due diligence specifically applied to corporate reorganisations and acquisitions, international double taxation, cross-border financing structures, royalty and technical assistance contracts.

Maria Laura is a member of the Venezuelan BAR and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners ('STEP'), TEP. She holds a law degree from the Universidad Metropolitana of Caracas, and a Master Degree in International Trade from Universidad Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona.
