BVI: New Registry fees for BVI Business Companies
The Government of the British Virgin Islands gazetted the BVI Business Companies Act (Amendment of Schedule 1)(No. 3) Order, 2016 on 20 December 2016 concerning new Registry fees to be charged to BVI Business Companies. The new fees will come into force on 1 July 2017.
The most significant changes are as follows:
- Incorporation fee for a standard company authorised to issue up to 50,000 shares increases from US$350 to US$450 and, for a company authorised to issue more than 50,000 shares, from US$1,100 to US$1,200
- The annual fee payable to maintain a standard company authorised to issue up to 50,000 shares increases from US$350 to US$450 and, for a company authorised to issue more than 50,000 shares, from US$1,100 to US$1,200
- The existing US$50 fee payable by a new company to register its initial Register of Directors is absorbed into the new incorporation fee
- Most other filing fees and fees for the issuance of certificates by the Registry have also been increased
