Virginia Strelen

As director, Virginia heads up our regional teams servicing clients from the Americas. The multi-disciplinary teams are formed by lawyers, accountants and paralegals ensuring that client companies are in good legal standing. Together with the clients' legal and tax advisors, Virginia regularly assists her clients in setting up their IP companies, holding and financing companies. She acts as board member together with her clients in their Luxembourg companies.

Virginia typically works for private equity clients, multinational corporations, asset managers and clients investing in real estate.

During the last year, Virginia was involved in significant real estate and capital market transactions, eg issuance of high yield bonds, IPOs, delisting of holding companies from stock exchanges, refinancings, or restructurings in general.

Virginia, a German national, is a qualified lawyer. Following her legal training in Cologne and Geneva, she worked in the dispute resolution and corporate departments of Linklaters in Cologne and Budapest. After her second state examination in 2004, she moved to New Zealand to obtain a Masters in Law at the University of Auckland. In 2005, she was admitted to the Cologne Bar and worked in the dispute resolution department of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Cologne.

Before joining Vistra in 2011 as team leader of the North America, Ireland and Israel team, she worked for three years in the real estate department of a leading trust company, where she was the deputy team leader responsible for a multi-disciplinary team of 25 accountants, lawyers and assistants.
