Danny joined Vistra as the Executive Director of the Hong Kong office in September 2021 and currently heads the Private Wealth team in Hong Kong.

Danny started his career as a trust administrator with HSBC Trustee in 1991 where he grew his portfolio of trust clients from 30 to 200+ with trust assets under management of USD2b.  In 2013, Danny joined UBS Wealth Planning division to take up the role as trust specialist and as deputy of Head of Trust Relationship Management Hong Kong.  At UBS, total number of trust cases under Danny’s management was 300+ with several landmark successful cases one of which was the conclusion of two jumbo insurances with total coverage of USD100M.  These jumbo insurance policies were held under a family trust and the premium payments of USD35M were arranged through premium financing at UBS.  Total referral fees generated from this insurance business was USD3M.

In June 2017, Danny was invited to join BOCI PB to assist the establishment of a completely new trust department and took up the role as the Head of Trust of BOCI Trustee.  Over the four years spell at BOCI Trustee, total number of new cases concluded amounted to 30 (from an absolute zero) and Danny also helped created an ESOP/EBT trustee platform working in close partnership with BOCI Securities.

Danny’s native language is Chinese and he also speaks fluent English.
