Why did you join Vistra?
I worked in banking for 20 years before I joined Vistra. As I began to find the work repetitive and boring, I moved to Vistra to challenge myself with something fresh and exciting.
Can you share a significant Vistra career milestone that stands out for you?
I have only been at Vistra for a short time, but my involvement in setting up our service system in Foshan has been most rewarding. I began traveling for work early on, which was challenging because everything was new to me. So far, I’ve had a great support network of colleagues, all of whom have helped me transition into my role and deliver the project successfully.
What does One Vistra mean to you and do you have an example of this?
For me, One Vistra means that every colleague has the same vision, same mindset, same direction at Vistra and strives to do their best.
What motivates you to come to work every day – in the office or working from home?
I like a good challenge and am motivated by achieving success. Whether I am working in the office or at home, I enjoy teamwork and the opportunity to work together on a challenge, which often makes it more interesting and the success more meaningful.
How do you manage work-life balance? Do you think the concept of work-life balance has changed through the current crisis?
I am a mother of two boys, so I need to manage work-life balance well. I always try to make myself more efficient while at work so that my spare time can be spent with my children and family. During the current crisis, I was able to work from home, which has saved a lot of commuting hours and freed up more family time.
Which Vistra value most resonates with you and why?
Doing the right thing resonates most with me, as it is also a value I personally live by. To be a person with integrity has guided my life in the past 40 plus years. I always try to do the right thing and motivate the people around me to do the same, and it is wonderful to work for an organisation which values the same things I do.
