Head of Legal (International Operations)
In New York City, Sebastien heads our ‘international operations’ team, for clients who need to structure corporate and fund vehicles abroad (Private Equity, Real Estate, Multinational clients) but still require an operational point of contact in their US time-zone. Throughout his career, he has worked on deal structuring and corporate governance matters in over 20 different jurisdictions.
Sebastien began his career in France in 2003 in the legal team of KPMG (now Fidal) before moving to the United States where he worked between 2008 and 2010. He then joined Arendt & Medernach’s private equity team in Luxembourg, working as an attorney advising on cross-border M&A deals. In 2013, he joined Vistra in Luxembourg as head of the North American desk with a view to subsequently join the Vistra team in New York City, where he now lives and works.
Besides having practiced as an Attorney in Luxembourg, Sebastien is a member of the New York Bar and is qualified to practice law in Paris. He holds a Bachelor of Law and two Masters of Laws from the University of Aix-en-Provence, where he was an adjunct Professor in Corporate and Contract Law while doing a PhD in real estate law.
Sebastien is also a 2009 graduate from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia (Master of Laws).
