Group Commercial Director
Malcolm has over 30 years’ experience in business development across both the financial services and commercial marketplaces. His global outlook comes from living on both sides of the Atlantic and helping clients across the globe find solutions for their complex operational, technology and financial requirements. He has spent 13 years based in the US having moved back in 2008 following an initial spell at the turn of the century. His most recent focus has been with asset managers and owners establish, operate and distribute funds across multiple jurisdictions.
At Vistra, Malcolm is the Group Commercial Director for North America where he leads all the Group’s Business Development activities across the region. In addition to managing the North American business development team he is responsible for developing and strengthening partner relationships, brand awareness and market development activities. His focus is to maximize the opportunity to help Vistra’s clients overcome the challenges and seize the opportunities of today’s increasingly global markets by delivering solutions integrating the extensive suite of capabilities and expertise from the Vistra global network in a timely, effective and consultative way.
Prior to joining Vistra in 2016, Malcolm has held senior business development and product management roles at State Street, HSBC, BNP Paribas, Omgeo and Citibank. Prior to working in the financial services industry he started his sales career with technology innovator Wang.
Malcolm, who is originally from the UK, holds a BSc Degree in Mathematics with Computer Science from Brunel University. Outside of work his family, including 3 children, occupies the bulk of his time though he manages to partake in skiing, running and golf whenever possible alongside watching rugby, having retired from playing some years ago.
