Gagan joined Vistra ITCL as business head in Mumbai in July 2015 to manage the business development of corporate trust, monitoring practises, funds and structures. He currently leads the Capital Markets initiative of Vistra Singapore and is responsible for managing the capital markets and corporate trust business in the region.
He is a sector expert for corporate trusteeship in capital markets and has vast experience in handling bond issuances, loan trustee structures, structured finance transactions, asset finance structures as well as investment vehicles. He is also proficient in managing relationships with key decision makers with corporate and intermediaries alike; he manages a large and growing portfolio of transactions involving Corporate Trusts and Agency Services, including but not limited to Asset Trustee, Bond / Notes Trustee, Transfer Agent, Process Agent, Calculation Agent, Paying Agent, Escrow Agent as well as a wide range of “Issuer Services”.
Gagan began his career in banking in 2004 and has worked across multiple profiles as client banker, derivatives trader, and product specialist for trade products. In 2008, he joined Reliance Capital Limited as Head – Structured products and was responsible for building the structured finance portfolio. In 2011, he was invited to the initial core team of infrastructure financing in Reliance Capital as Head of Sales to build and manage the transportation portfolio for Reliance Capital. In 2014, he moved to Axis bank as Head of Sales to manage PAN INDIA business of merchant acquiring before joining Vistra ITCL.
Gagan is P.G in Management from IRMA and is currently pursuing Masters in Business Law.
His native language is Punjabi but he also speaks fluent Hindi and English.
