James Bond, The Queen, Vistra on the move...and much more - December Newsletter (edition 18)

In last year's Christmas edition we glimpsed towards 2012 and an anticipated 'wild ride' with political and market turbulences constantly threatening to attack. Now, one year later, the stagecoach of 'High Noon' has come to a short stop as Walter Stresemann considers in his own distinct style the year that was.

Further in this newsletter we demonstrate that Vistra is again leading the way in continuously creating innovative services like our Russian and Chinese desks, the launch of company dissolution services in Germany and our new securitisation platform in Luxembourg.

In addition, we discuss a successful acquisition in Belgium, whilst in Switzerland and Cyprus we assess important proposed changes in corporate taxation. In Curaçao, we look at how the Curaçao trust might present an alternative to protected cell companies.

2012 has been a successful year for the Vistra Group with business acquisitions across Europe and rapid client growth in many of our other offices worldwide. As a result, several of our country teams are now relocating to new and enlarged offices with improved facilities, so in this issue, you will find detail of new office locations for our Netherlands, Shanghai, Jersey and Curaçao teams.

I hope that you will enjoy this special last issue of 2012 and I wish you a very Merry Christmas.
