Taking a hands-on approach and working closely with the IT team, Marketing team and external agencies, the Web Content Migration Specialist will be responsible for the successful integration of acquired company’s websites, ensuring SEO value and domain authority is not lost.

This is initially a 6 month contract - we will also consider candidates on a self-employed basis!

You will be based at our Bristol office sitting in the Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Web Specialist will be required to manage all technical aspects of website integration project including;
  • Perform deep-dive risk assessments to ensure no high value relevant content and Keywords of existing site value are lost 
  • Record benchmarks from which to judge the success of migration projects
  • Conduct critical pre and post-migration audits and rigorous testing
  • Ensuring all required redirects are identified and put in place, working with IT to manage domain
  • Make changes to the IA when required
  • Troubleshoot any problems with CMS and hosting platforms 
  • Managing and configuration/ hosting issues with IT and external supplier
  • Work with the marketing team and external copywriters to ensure new content is optimised and includes all valuable, target keywords from the outset
  • Ensure that websites are integrated with all Google tools such as Google Analytics, Tag Manger and Webmaster Tools

Qualifications and other requirements

Attributes/Technical Skills

  • Will have previous experience developing and integrating websites
  • Must be proficient with CMS systems or have strong CMS Experience  - Drupal CMS experience is ideal 
  • Will have exceptional IT skills and a practical knowledge of web technologies (HTML, SEO, CSS etc.)
  • An in-depth understanding of the implications of search engine optimisation, usability and accessibility for digital content 
  • Will have an excellent understanding of Google products such as Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics, Google MyBusines, Tag Manager etc. 
  • Understanding of CRM and Automation Platforms
  • Technically oriented person who has worked  with or supported a marketing team in the past
  • Planning and time management skills 
  • Project and organisational skills  
  • Self-motivated 
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
  • Will be meticulous and thorough, with an attention to detail
  • Experience within the finance / professional services industry an advantage.
  • 3 Years in a similar role
