An exciting flight path for Vistra - July newsletter (edition 19)

The first six months of 2013 have been full speed ahead for Vistra Group with its ever-increasing expansion and global presence. It's been a whirlwind, worldwide tour.

Starting off Stateside, the Vistra San Francisco office opened in March. Across the Atlantic to Europe, in addition to new offices opening in Barcelona and Madrid, Switzerland saw the smooth acquisition of Althea in Geneva, and purchase of the remaining shares of Centrapriv Group, (Zurich- based fiduciary and corporate consultancy company of which we previously owned 50%), now rebranded as Vistra Zug AG and Vistra Zurich AG. Transpacific, Vistra acquired BSI Trust Corporation (Singapore) Limited.

In this newsletter, the sky's the limit as we make a stopover in Asia to assess fund opportunities, as well as take an in-depth look at business in China from our Shanghai expert's point of view. East meets West as Hong Kong and Switzerland team up on a double tax treaty and then back to Europe where it's a "yes-fly zone" in Malta as a new set of VAT guidelines could add a strong tailwind to private aircraft and jet owners.

Things have also been taking flight in Luxembourg with the modernisation of the Luxembourg Limited Partnership resulting in the creation of a new vehicle: the Special Limited Partnership.

We have even more to look forward to in the second half of this year. Don't miss the occasion to let us host you at our August event in Copenhagen. With the 75th celebration of the IFA (International Fiscal Association) in the Danish capital, what better destination for Vistra to host a soirée of cocktails and music than at the exclusive Café Victor.

I do hope you enjoy our Newsletter. Let me now take this opportunity to wish you an excellent summer and see you in the Autumn!
