Vistra opens office in Frankfurt.

Vistra has opened a new office in the international financial and trade centre Frankfurt am Main as part of a strategic plan to expand the Vistra Group into the German market.

Vistra Germany will deliver the full range of trust, corporate and estate planning services both locally and to Vistra Group’s international client base.

Frank Walenta, who is heading Vistra’s Frankfurt/M office, said: “Germany is considered to be one of very few countries to be recovering quickly from the global economic crisis, with an average economic growth index that is already exceeding expectations. Predictions are that 2010 and 2011 will bring a considerable upturn in the German investment and private equity landscape and that new opportunities lie ahead. After almost two years of investment retention and standstill it is anticipated that the deal flow will increase and therefore Vistra believes there has never been a better time and opportunity to be present in Germany.”

Frank, a German/French national who is also fluent in English, obtained his degree in German, French and European Law and worked for several years in the German public administration as legal counsel before joining the Vistra office in Luxembourg which he co-headed for nearly three years. He has experience of taking new paths and creating solutions, having set up of the Fund Services Division of the Luxembourg office in late 2008.
