Jean Pierre Koolmees to speak at prestigious Malaysian conference.

Jean-Pierre Koolmees, MD of Vistra Singapore, will give a keynote address to the Malaysian Institute of Accountants' 2012 CFO symposium, to be held at the Royale Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, on 20 June 2012.

Established over 40 years ago, the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) has nearly 29,000 members and is the primary statutory body charged with regulating and developing the accountancy profession in Malaysia.

The MIA's Chief Financial Officer's Symposium 2012 has been designed especially for CFOs, Finance Directors, Head of Finance/Corporate Finance, Regional Finance Directors and those directly involved in the strategic business planning of their organisation. The Symposium will explore cutting edge issues in business today and offer delegates an opportunity to consider the latest developments in leadership skills, technology, strategic planning, risk management and business investments. Jean-Pierre will address the symposium on the subject of Investing in emerging markets, with a particular focus on tax optimization and investment protection for corporates involved in inbound investments in these countries.

The symposium is expected to provide an excellent opportunity for participant networking, with speakers including Chari TVT, Chief Financial Officer, Celcom Axiata Berhad, Malaysia's second largest mobile telecommunication operator in Malaysia, with the revenue of US$ 2.3 billion. Also speaking is Kate Sweetman, Director and Head of research and Curriculum ICLIF, an international, Asia-focused centre of excellence, which offers corporate governance programmes to help companies to visibly improve their business performance.
