Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a portfolio of international clients from various industries as main contact person

  • Provide market entry advice to clients, including corporate structuring, company formations and post set-up services

  • Act as Managing Director for client companies

  • Liaise with authorities, professional advisers and other third parties

  • Advise clients on day-to-day corporate and financial house keeping and tax compliance

  • Manage statutory responsibilities including filing reports, accounts, tax returns, etc.

  • Manage filing deadlines and keep client files in good legal and financial standing

  • Prepare full set of accounts, financial statements and periodic reports

  • Prepare monthly VAT returns and assist with the preparation of annual tax returns

  • Operate bank accounts within the delegated authority

  • Implement and manage assigned pieces of project plans, according to scope and deadlines

Qualifications and other requirements

  • Demonstrate in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of German GAAP and preferably IFRS
  • Advanced understanding of corporate finance concepts

  • Delivery focused problem solver with planning, organisational and prioritisation skills

  • Attention to detail with a can-do attitude

  • Deadline-oriented with a focus on client service and satisfaction

  • Capable of working independently and encourage a culture of cross-functional teamwork

  • Understand key drivers for profitability in own area

  • Commercial skills with ability to see potential business opportunities

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant working experience

  • Proven track record in dealing with international clients and advisors

  • Experience in tax and financial services industry is an advantage
