Senior Human Resources Manager, UAE & Africa


Key Responsibilities

  • Resposible for the internal HR service delivery and effectiveness in the Middle East and Africa (Dubai and Mauritius being the two main locations at the moment)
  • Lead the daily HR Operations work from employee on-boarding to exit, including but not limited to, recruitment, new joiner induction, payroll and benefit administration, executive of HR BAU such as implementing the performance management system, annual budgeting, salary review, bonus planning etc.
  • Work closely with BU heads to have a good grasp of business needs and the HR support required to drive and realize the business strategy; be the change agent for enhancing employee engagement, retention and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with local labor law in respective jurisdictions, including employee relations matters and providing relevant advice to the business
  • Identify efficiency and cost-effectiveness opportunities in HR services; continuously review the HR operations model, processes and policies and see opportunities to enhance the HR service level
  • Drive/implement/support Group/regional HR initiatives as needed to ensure effective execution and timely completion (e.g. Employer Branding, Engagement Survey)
  • Responsible for HR reporting and HR system related planning and maintenance 

Qualifications and other requirements

  • Degree holder; Human Resources or other related discipline advantageous
  • Minimum 7-8 years' of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Experience with relevant industry high advantageous
  • Well-rounded HR capabilities in carrying out a HR generalist role
  • Well-versed with statutory labor law requirements
  • Proactive, driven, resourceful and able to deal with fast-changing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and willing to go the extra miles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in prevalent HR into system a plus
  • Strong verbal and written command of professional English; local language a plus
