The Senior Compliance Officer / MLRO will be mainly in charge of the AML function and will be appointed as MLRO on Vistra entities and specific client entities. He/She will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and to the Board.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as MLRO on entities within the Vistra Group in Mauritius.
  • Act as MLRO on specific client entities managed by Vistra.
  • Liaise with the FIU in relation to STRs and other AML matters.
  • Prepare statistical and other reports to the relevant boards and committees on a monthly basis and as required.
  • Ensure ongoing transaction monitoring and other such monitoring as required under the FSC
  • Guidelines and FIAMLA.
  • Investigating potential suspicious transactions and provide the relevant assistance required to the
  • FIU during investigations. This includes follow ups and other such ongoing tasks.
  • Keep up to day with the changes in the laws, regulations and industry practices with respect to AML matters.
  • Conduct ad hoc monitoring and audits in relation to AML matters.
  • Updating the AML manuals and policies in relation to the AML function.
  • Devising specific procedures as may be required including addition to the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
  • Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in matters specifically related to risk assessment, due diligence and compliance monitoring programme.
  • Assisting the Chief Compliance Officer in the development of policies and procedures to ensure that Vistra has a strong compliance framework.

Qualifications and other requirements

  • Duly approved by FSC to act as a Compliance Officer / MLRO.
  • Solid degree in Management / Law
  • At least 4 years of work experience in a Compliance Officer / MLRO position
  • Professional qualification will be an advantage
  • Strong technical financial crime knowledge, including, AML, TF and sanctions amongst others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good leadership capabilities.
  •  A sound understanding of product, business and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to create robust systems and processes
