Manager, Business Development


Key Responsibilities

  • Securing new-new business and closing of these opportunities
  • Create brand awareness and promote corporate & fiduciary services to potential clients through sales and marketing campaigns
  • Establishing & nurturing new business referral relationships
  • Market Vistra to professional intermediaries, chambers of commerce, government investment promotion agencies, banks, and end clients
  • Initiate commercial/sales plan with key objectives and metrics to build and generate new direct leads for new business
  • Handling RFPs and issuing proposals
  • Collecting CDD and other documentation necessary to successfully submit a case for approval by VBC
  • Able to work closely in a team environment to drive the Vistra business vision, brand and services in Hong Kong and Greater China
  • Identify and maximize cross-referral opportunities to other business units where applicable
  • Any other ad-hoc task as required

Qualifications and other requirements

  • Degree in Law, Economics , Communication or other relevant disciplines
  • 5 years plus experience in business development role gained in corporate & trust services sectors (or any similar professional services industry)
  • Previous business development experience and proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Self-motivated and ability to think outside the box to solve client’s issues
  • Ability to identify client needs and market trends
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide non-technical explanations to technical matters, and summarize and present information in a clear, concise and accurate written and verbal format
  • Strong presentation with excellent planning & organizational skills
  • Tracking and recording activity on accounts and assisting with closing deals to meet/exceed annual targets
  • Understanding of individual cultural differences and ability to establish and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office  especially in PowerPoint
  • Systematic use of commercial reporting and CRM/Salesforce is highly regarded
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese is preferred
  • Fluency in additional languages would be a further asset (Putonghua, French, etc.)
