Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leadership and supervision of the HR Operations team overseeing multiple jurisdictions, defining and driving continuous improvement opportunities while delivering high quality, client-centric HR service
  • Function as a key member of the HR leadership team in the region; act as an internal consultant and a change agent to management as well as to employees on comprehensive, HR-related topics/initiatives
  • Oversee payroll and benefit administration in the region; ensure compliance to local regulations and identify efficiency and cost-effectiveness opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with local labor law in respective jurisdictions, including employee relations matters such as misconduct, under performance, grievances etc. and advising the business accordingly
  • Identify efficiency and cost-effectiveness opportunities in HR services; continuously review the HR operations model, processes and policies and seek opportunities to enhance the HR service level
  • Coach and develop team members based on their strengths, career plan/interests, and area for improvement, provide opportunities for growth and lead the team to achieve team objectives together
  • Support various Group HR initiatives as needed e.g. Employee Engagement Survey, Employer Branding, Level/Title alignment, HRIS etc. and ensure effective execution and timely completion

Qualifications and other requirements

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Solid experience in at least 2-3 HR fields preferred; e.g. HR Operations/Shared Service, HR BP, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Management, etc.
  • Degree holder; Human Resources or other related discipline advantageous
  • Well-rounded HR capabilities in carrying out a HR generalist role in a results-oriented yet flexible manner
  • Proactive, driven, resourceful and able to deal with ambiguity and fast-changing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders of different culture backgrounds and levels
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and willing to go the extra miles
  • Well-versed with statutory labor law requirements
  • Proficiency in prevalent HR info system a plus
  • Proficiency in English and Cantonese , written and spoken; Mandarin a plus
