Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the business development team in the Greater China (GC) region to promote overall service offerings of Vistra to potential clients through lead generation, proposal development, sales and marketing campaigns, with the focus of develop new business.
  • Ensure the overall objectives (including financial and non-financial) of the business development teams in the region are met or exceed.

  • Manage all aspects of business development activities of GC by providing timely information and quality service, including but not limited to:

    • Key client relationship management;

    • Channels development and engagement.

  • Liaise with in-house advisory team to provide hands-on client advice on:

    • International structuring (including trust) & cross-border investments;

    • Fund set-up and administration;

    • Practical approaches of doing business in global onshore markets.

  • Sales management:

    • Objectives (including financial and non-financial) for the teams in the region & review on quarterly basis ;

    • Demonstrate performance culture with effective pipeline & sales conversion management.

  • People management:

    • Regularly assess the strengths and development opportunities for the teams in the region;

    • Lead by example to supervise, motivate and develop a team;

    • Drive the implementation of appropriate training and sales development.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth client on-boarding process.

  • Ensure that all commercial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies and standards.


Qualifications and other requirements

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • At least 15 years of related experiences in heading sizable sales and commercial team, with proven track record of performance coaching.
  • Proven track record of establishing new channels and alliances in China with business results realized.
  • Management experience and demonstrated leadership.
  • Extensive experiences in advising clients on international structuring, fund set-up & administration, as well as approaches to doing business in onshore markets.
  • Corporate service related professional networks in China preferred, e.g. law & accounting firm, PE, asset management, private banks and wealth management companies.
  • Preferably experience in similar sales roles within large institutions or similar industry (either in corporate services or financial services industry).  
  • Degree holder in Law, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Relevant professional qualifications highly preferred.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding and insights of Chinese clients in cross-border context.
  • Strong commercial acumen, being able to capture new business opportunities.
  • Role model with proven leadership to lead and motivate sales team.
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group. 
  • Excellent planning, organizing and commercial skills including strong financial management capability.
  • Proven abilities in working across cultures and in a complex global environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office especially in Word and Excel
  • Professional Fluency in written and oral English with a good command of Chinese and Mandarin proficiency
