The Global Product Development Director leads the development and supports the commercial success of the full range of Alternative Investment (AI) Services portfolio. The individual is a member of the Alternative Investments Executive Team and delivers results by working in close partnership with the respective Global Product Leads and also through collaboration with other parts of the Vistra team especially the Commercial, Regional, Operational Service Delivery and Technology teams.

The incumbent of this role can be situated anywhere in Europe or United States.


Key Responsibilities

Product Development - with the Global Product Leads and Commercial team:

  • Drives the process to clearly define the full AI product and services portfolio
  • For all AI products defines the guidelines, templates  and standards for the classification, nomenclature, documentation, management metrics and performance measures of the various products and services
  • Establishes the product development roadmap of future service offerings by conducting market and customer research to systematically surface and prioritize AI service and product opportunities
  • Design and lead the product development process for the Division including:
    • analysing and prioritize market opportunities

    • design new product and service offerings to meet market needs

    • establish the business case and model the expected performance (including sensitivity analysis)

    • pilot, review and refine new service offerings

    • manage the product transition plan from pilot to commercialization

    • build operational and financial models to measure product performance

  • Design and manage the stage gate review and approval process for developing and commercialization product and service offerings
  • Lead the overall product and service digitization strategy for the AI division
  • Regularly reviews and prioritises the product development needs of the AI Division to ensure the effective development of the overall portfolio and the maximising investment and use of resources

Commercial - working with the Global Product Leads, Commercial and Regional team :

  • Develops the short and medium term Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and specific business plans for full AI service offering both globally and within key markets in each region
  • Ensures the design and management of the product pricing framework for the full AI service offering to ensure competitive market position while maximising the revenue and margin potential for the Division and Group
  • Identifies and executes specific AI multi product bundled client opportunities whilst also continually supporting the building of the opportunity pipeline
  • Together with the AI Division management regularly reviews the commercial performance of the service and product portfolio

Service Delivery - with the AI Division Operations Director and team:

  • drives the technological enablement of the AI product portfolio and services delivery working closely with IT Leadership and team
  • Supports the development of the service delivery model for AI services

Qualifications and other requirements

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Proven track record product and service management in the industry including
  • Proven experience of business planning, budgeting, and managing P&L for a business of this type
  • Experience in developing, implementing, optimizing business processes in the AI investments funds space
  • BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline with 10+ years of experience in senior roles in the Private Equity industry. (CPA, MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • Strong team-player with demonstrable experience with working in a dynamic organisation and able to build bridges between the different stakeholders within the organisation, division and asset class
  • Strong knowledge of product development and management both from a portfolio and product life-cycle perspective
  • Demonstrated skills in developing a technology enablement roadmap and the subsequent implementation for a service offering and product portfolio
  • Strong management skills and demonstrable success overseeing multijurisdictional alternative fund administration operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
