Reporting to the Chief HR Officer, this role serves as the HR engagement partner for the Senior Leadership of the Corporate & Private Clients, Alternative Investments, IT and Marketing businesses/functions. In this capacity the individual works with the leadership team to define the overall people agenda for each business/ functional area. By working with the rest of the HR team this person drives execution of the defined HR plans and ensures the smooth delivery of key HR services.

The successful incumbent of this role can be located anywhere in the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

People Strategy

  • Working with the Senior Leadership Team defines the key people priorities for the business/functional area needed to support delivery of the business plan
  • In partnership with the Leadership Team/Line Managers and with the support of the broader HR Team executes the agreed people plans


  • With the Senior Leadership develops plans and implements specific actions to ensure the systematic identification and development of a strong bench of leadership talent within the respective business/functional area
  • Supports the implementation of various management development initiatives to build the pipeline of management capability in the business/functional area

Key HR Services

  • Works closely with the various HR specialists to ensure the effective use of key people management tools and processes including; Performance Management, Compensation Review, Talent Management and Recruitment capabilities

Culture and Engagement

  • Proactively assesses the organizational health of the respective business/ functional areas and implements various interventions to drive the development of the desired culture and increase the level of people engagement  

Qualifications and other requirements

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Minimum 10 years working experience in human resources across the range of activities within a multinational, distributed organization
  • Solid degree in a business field (academic level) ideally with a focus on Human Capital Management or MBA
  • Proven track record in implementing programs and managing key HR processes across multiple geographies, cultures and time zones
  • Demonstrated expertise in effectively working with various senior management teams as a collaborative HR business partner
  • Experience in change management; from idea inception to fully implementing changes proposed would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong team-player with experience with working in a dynamic organisation and able to build bridges between the different stakeholders within the organisation
  • Strong HR domain knowledge in both specialist areas (Organization Design, Performance Management, Compensation and Talent Management
  • Strong communication, relationship building and influencing skills
  • Collaborative partner and a strong team player
  • Ability to think outside of the box, to challenge status quo, but to do so diplomatically and collaborative manner
  • Ability to establish clear priorities and drive hands-on execution and delivery
  • Culturally sensitive, experienced with multiple nationalities, business cultures
  • Ability to deal with ambiguities and work within ill-defined boundaries
