This role acts as the key finance business partner for the CPC Division. Its primary role is to support the Divisional CPC MD to achieve the strategic and financial goals of the division through the provision of financial management and advisory support.

Reporting to the Group CFO, the role works closely with the CPC Division to design and implement the value delivery model to its clients. It is the primary custodian of the strategic planning (3-Y-P) for the division which will include a financial plan.

The role will also be closely involved in any M&A activities undertaken by the Division; working with the Head of M&A. Many of the areas of responsibilities require the role to work with resources sitting outside of the roles’ direct management in a collaborative, internal client-supplier type relationship.

The successful incumbent of this role can be located anywhere in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Business Partnering

  • In concert with the CPC Division MD, set the strategic direction for the Division and monitor performance towards set objectives.
  • Lead the CPC Divisional Finance Directors in achieving Divisional and Group objectives.
  • Implement and adhere to Group financial planning processes, policies and procedures 
  • Optimise Divisional CPC business performance through business review sessions; facilitate continuous improvements in business operational and financial performance.

M&A Support

  • Work closely with Head of M&A to derive Business Cases and participate in financial due diligence of all deals within the Division
  • Support decision making on key acquisitions with analysis and key facts and data.
  • Act as finance lead in the integration of acquired businesses within the Division especially if it impacts more than one Region.
  • Ad hoc decision support analyses and business modelling

Qualifications and other requirements

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Minimum 15 years working experience with a majority experienced in a multinational environment
  • Solid degree in an accounting or business field (academic level) and/or MBA
  • Strong commercial outlooks and proven experience in acting as an operations and financial business partner to senior management
  • Ability to deal with ambiguities and work within ill-defined boundaries and challenge status quo
  • Strong communication and influencing skills; collaborative and a team player
  • Culturally sensitive and experienced in dealing with multiple nationalities, business cultures
  • Experience in change management; from idea inception to fully implementing changes proposed would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to think outside of the box, to challenge status quo, but to do so diplomatically would be a distinct advantage
  • Language: Fluent English as the business language. Other languages a strong plus.
