Group Working Capital Manager

Vistra Amsterdam is recruiting a Working Capital Manager. You play a lead role in assessing Vistra’s current working capital related business policies and procedures. By using key performance metrics across key working capital areas, you will identify root causes that result in sub-optimal working capital positions. You are responsible for making recommendations to corporate and local management to achieve cash flow improvement potentials. Following the assessment, you will continue to lead and support group and local management with the implementation of improvement measures, set against concrete targets. You will be located in Amsterdam and work with other Vistra offices around the world. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of a comprehensive working capital improvement programme across the group;
  • Liaise with key stakeholders across the group and various countries to ensure successful implementation;
  • Define project scope, implementation plan and methodology;
  • Define new policies, procedures and standards for working capital management, especially, but not limited, to the order to cash and procure to pay business processes;
  • Accompany and coach the improvement programme in the regional companies, advise managers on how to most effectively achieve targets including modifying processes, procedures, work-flow, reporting and controlling;
  • Define and implement standard working capital reporting for the various management stakeholders across the group;
  • Regular structured internal benchmarking and reporting on the progress of the implementation and development of working capital across individual group companies and the group overall.

Qualifications and other requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Accounting or Business Administration;
  • Professional Finance qualification (CPA, ACCA) is an advantage;
  • Ideally Process Improvement, PMP or Business Engineering Qualification;
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in (finance) project management or project execution in related areas in an international business context. Experience within the financial service provider industry advantageous;
  • Excellent knowledge of working capital processes and what generates cash flow;
  • Proven experience in planning and implementing finance related process improvement projects, possibly in a consulting context; 
  • Good ERP knowledge, e.g. SAP B1/R3, Oracle, Workday, Viewpoint;
  • Excellent in Microsoft Office (Excel);
  • Professional fluency in written and oral English. Additional fluency in other languages is a bonus;
  • Strong interpersonal capabilities and ability to work cross - functionally with international teams and management on all levels;
  • Good presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written;
  • Excellent coaching, facilitating, problem solving and change management skills;
  • Performance and results driven, analytical and creative in solution mapping.
