Corporate Administrator - Alternative Investments

This role is located in Jersey, Channel Islands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent client services in relation to corporate administration and management of fund and company structures in line with best practice, internal procedures, legislation and local regulations
  • Experienced in managing real estate structures
  • Develop opportunities with both existing and new clients to expand our portfolio of business assessing both the risk and commercial aspects of the proposition
  • Act as a Director of client companies and deliver associated company secretariat responsibilities
  • Undertake all required due-diligence on appropriate parties ensuring that new business satisfied the acceptance criteria
  • Ensure that new business satisfies all legal, tax and regulatory requirements
  • Work with outside intermediaries including law firms, accounting firms, listing agents and other parties where needed
  • Ensure a comprehensive, high quality, client focused administrative service to a varied portfolio of company and fund structure
  • Manage client relationships in line with best practice, internal procedures and legislation
  • Prepare and review management reports and other financial information
  • Plan and schedule the external reporting requirements of the funds and ensure that all internal or external deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that the portfolio of vehicles administered is in good standing for statutory, accounting, legal and compliance purposes and that the entities fulfil their obligations under any transaction documentation
  • Liaise with accounting, billing and central business services support groups where needed
  • Keep abreast of legal/regulatory developments in the industry and apply that knowledge to the current and future needs of the business
  • Attend Jersey Management Committee Meeting to provide input to business policy and practice
  • Provide coverage of other team members from time to time as needed
  • Ad-hoc projects as allocated from time to time

Qualifications and other requirements

  • Able to work autonomously and have a flexible approach to work
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise your work load
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong English communications skills, both written and oral
  • PC knowledge with Microsoft Office
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators qualifications or qualified Accountant (or be working towards)
